Riffpoints architecture
Big picture goals: make life easier for developers, designers; remove a top-down dictat and make life easier for non-standard sighted.
This architecture started as one thing:
minimize the churn of rebranding, which also happens to set a solid foundation for building new brands once the exploration is solid
And it hints at another:
why not? No, seriously, why do we insist on telling people what they can see, with no input – not even if it enables them to see in a communication form that's become most refined in sight? Why is branding more important than all the multitudinous permutations of existence?
Right now I can only vouch for the first. The second is completely sound in logic, has ancillary proof of concepts, but not built out in full. The minute I can afford development it will be started to fold into this site.
This concept:
- Reduce design churn time while improving consistency and maintaining precision; how effective that is depends on business stakeholders’ willingness to work with designers, and potential updates to existing design software or development of new design software;
- Potentially optimize for any-sighted accessibility, making it so there are no ‘invisible inks’;
- Offers an alternative to the environmentally wasteful imprecision of genAI, with sustainable, precise fluidity.
